The Living Is Easy.
Mike and I are on what seems to be the never ending not technically a vacation vacation. We are lucky enough to work remotely so after the work day is done we go adventuring. We recently took a day trip to Los Angeles to visit friends and for Mike to show me around his old stomping ground. While we saw a lot of LA, these pictures reflect our trip to Venice Beach and the houses on the canal in that area. Mike and I have been taking pictures of homes we love in hopes of building a California dream home in Atlanta one day.
We loved this house so much! It was on sale for about four million. In the words of Mike, "chump change". Keep that mindset baby.
The houses were beyond gorgeous, but what captured me were the skate boarders. It was a pretty nice set up. Skating by the beach in California on a sunny day has to be the life. There were some really talented guys out there. Pretty mesmerizing!
It was a pretty awesome quick trip. When Mike moves to Atlanta we are going to try to do more quick trips. It's a great way to get away a have some down time without breaking the bank. My favorite spot in LA, though not photographed, was Melrose Avenue. So many cute boutiques and places to eat. If I had to go back to my earlier twenties I'd probably get a cute little bungalow off Melrose. I loved it that much. We also went to the garment district, Mike's MBA Alma Mater, and a pretty cool burger bar. Great times with pretty great friends!
