NG Eats: Gui, Dallas, Tx.
There are a few restaurants that will always be Mike and my favorite places to eat. Gui in Uptown in Dallas, TX is one of those spots. Tuesday's and Sunday's are the days of the week that we never have to guess what we are going to eat because those beloved days mean all you can eat sushi at Gui. For $25 a person you get unlimited pickings of classic rolls as well as some of the delicious signature rolls they have to offer.
The classics are pretty darn good. I don't think I've tasted a better California roll. And if you like spicy but aren't to the adventure stage in your sushi journey the spicy salmon roll is perfect for starters. It's got a crunchy topping that Mike and I may have picked off the plate and devoured after all the sushi was gone.
The specialty rolls are pretty mine blowing. My favorite hands down is the Red Rock. It's avocado and salmon on top of a block of rice that is deep fried. It's amazing. Mike's favorite roll's are the 2719 roll and the roll with the soft shell crab.
Tips: Get there right on time. On Tuesday's they open at 5:30pm and on Sunday's at 5pm. It's not that big of a place and they fill seats pretty quickly. Also, it's in your best interest to be patient. The waiters are a little all over the place sometimes but the sushi makes the wait worth it.
Also, there would be more sushi pictures, expect they are just that good.
