In The Kitchen With Sur La Table.
This post wraps up Mike's official birthday activities. We did some other fun things but this was the last big highlight. Just like his last surprise, he got a clue to what we would be doing. This one was an apron I tie dyed myself (he's been on a tie dye kick). He was able to connect the dots on what this clue meant much faster. His guess was a cooking class. Specifically, it was a Sur La Table's date night cooking class. Our menu for the night included a delicious crostini with fig spread and caramelized onions, prosciutto wrapped chicken, an easy sophisticated salad, and the most incredible chocolate cake with whipped cream.
It was an incredible experience. We actually left wondering if there was a membership program where you could pay a certain amount and just go to classes whenever. That should definitely be a thing because we loved it. We went to the location in Dallas and the staff was amazing. I would definitely recommend attending a class in your area soon. Our only note for next time, bring wine!
