Texas State Fair.

I made it to Texas in time for Mike and I to catch the last day of the Texas State Fair. What I can definitely tell you is that the rumors are true. Everything is much bigger in Texas. This place was huge. The food offerings were endless and the crowd was massive. Our favorite treat of the night was chicken fried bacon. Yes, chicken fried bacon. I thought Kristen's boyfriend Jake made the best bacon I've ever tasted but this gave it a run for its money (I'll have to get Jake to make some, you know, just for comparison). We played the tradition games and Mike's sweet jump shot won me a humongous sock monkey. I was pretty excited about it but he was beaming like a school boy. It took us about four hours to get around and I'm sure we still missed a lot.

We had an amazing time! So many sights and smells. There is something about a state fair that really mentally kicks off Fall for me. Cool weather finally made it's way to Dallas and we soaked it all in. We'll definitely be going again!
